Crispy chicken thighs, gooey jalapeno popper, and a double hit of my Sweet BBQ Love and The Original BBQ sauce. This is the bite people fight over at my cookouts. Fire up the grill and find out why.

Chicken Thigh Poppers

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skin-on chicken thighs

  • 4 whole jalapenos, stemmed and sliced lengthwise

  • 3 tbsp cream cheese, room temperature

  • 2 tsp minced fresh garlic

  • 2 tsp Carne Sutra seasoning, or Spicy Carne Sutra

  • 2 tbsp Sweet BBQ Love seasoning

  • ¼ cup The Original BBQ Sauce

    1. Add cream cheese, minced garlic and Carne Sutra seasoning to a small bowl and stir well to combine.

    2. Stuff cream cheese mixture into split jalapeños. Set aside.

    1. Preheat grill to 350ºF.

    2. Lay each chicken thigh skin side down on a work surface. Place 1 jalapeño popper in the center of each thigh. Roll it up and secure with toothpicks.

    3. Dust each chicken thigh with Sweet BBQ Love seasoning.

    4. Grill approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour (or internal temp of 165ºF), basting with The Original BBQ sauce on all sides during the last 15 minutes.

    5. Baking Instructions: Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place chicken thigh poppers on baking sheet and roast in the oven for 1 hour (internal temp 165ºF), basting during the last 15 minutes.
